How would you like that?

I was visiting Saddleback Church a few years back; and Eric Busby said something that stuck with me. I'm sure he didn't come up with it, and I don't know who did, but it's fantastic:

Good - Fast - Cheap
Pick Two
Good + Fast = Expensive
Good + Cheap = Slow
Fast + Cheap = Inferior

I'm sure you've seen this before; but it has saved my skin more than once, so it's worth repeating.

Yep! Without a doubt this is one of the most widely used 'tool' to put perspective into something that the REQUESTER usually hasn't a clue about...and it works for almost any VAR or service orientated business.
Too bad it NEEDS to be used so often; when someone is coming to you for YOUR EXPERT ADVICE, don't you think they should take it, say 'thank you,' and actually consider it before they reply "too expensive" or something else that triggers the need to give them this word picture?
